Navratri 2026 in Auckland: Garba Till Late, Food Till Later
Navratri is almost here. This year it runs from Sunday 11 October to Monday 19 October, with Dussehra on the 20th. Nine nights of garba, dandiya, new chaniya cholis and kurtas, and dancing in circles till your feet give up.
And if you've ever done a full night of garba, you know what comes after. Proper, serious bhookh.
Garba finishes late, we finish later
Most of Auckland is shut by the time the last round of dandiya wraps up. Not us. Our Clark Street truck in New Lynn is open till 2AM, Tuesday to Sunday, and till midnight on Mondays. So grab your group, keep the outfits on, and come straight over.
What to order after garba
- Vada Pav or Dabeli, quick, hot and filling. Add cheese if you danced extra hard.
- Pani Puri or Dahi Puri, tangy and cool after all that sweating.
- Cheese Katka Pav or a Frankie, for when a snack won't cut it.
- Masala Chai, because it's still a bit cold at night in October.
- Kulfi, the perfect sweet ending. Kesar and Pista are the go-tos.
Coming with the whole group?
Garba is never a solo thing, so bring everyone. If you're a big group, give us a call ahead so we're ready for you. Not up for the drive? Order in via Uber Eats, DoorDash or OrderMeal and eat it on the way home.
Running a garba night or community event and want food sorted for everyone? Have a look at our catering page and we'll chat.
Daytime plans?
Our Lynn Mall truck is open during the day, so it's handy for a bite before you head out for the evening. Hours for both trucks are on our Find Us page.
Everything we make is 100% pure veg, with Jain and Swaminarayan options, just ask. Happy Navratri from all of us at BLH. See you after garba!
